The inspiration for this style came when we built a custom unit for the dining salon of a world-class yacht that was being redecorated in Seattle. All the moldings are flat and then rounded on the edges, giving a solid, substantial and yet casual feeling. We build a few sizes as standards but most Nautical Style cases are custom. This style lends itself to the darker finishes, Mahogany or Dark Oak and fits perfectly with the "reading room look", leather chairs on an oriental carpet.
